Douglas Z. writes the following about Frindle :

The book I'm reading is Frindle by Andrew Clements. It is about a kid named Nick and a teacher, Mrs.Granger. Nick is the kid that tries to act funny and get out of stuff by asking questions. Mrs.Ganger is the mean old fifth grade teacher nobody wants. Nick and Mrs.Granger don't get along at the first part of the book but it gets better as the book goes on. In the story Mrs.Granger says a word is only a word if you say it is. Well Nick turns that around and makes a new word. He changes the word pen and makes frindle. I think Andrew Clements did a good job on the book. The message I think the author tried to say is that you can do anything you put your mind to. I rate this book a 10. I thought this because he gave very good descriptions for everything. I also like the concept of the book. The thing I would change is that I would add more than one main characters. I would recommend Frindle to anyone who likes to laugh and have fun while they read.
