Cass writes the following about Heart of a Champion :

This book was the best I ever read. I don't know why - I don't play baseball or anything but it was just so strong. It shows how hard you have to work. You don't say one day "I want to be a baseball player" and then the next day you're a big star. It takes a lot of effort, as Seth went through in this book. Still, he never had the heart of a champion - that was Jimmy - but this story shows how determind you have to be to get what you want. That's why I love it so much, and why I gave it 10 stars. Plus, this book might get me into baseball or softball; I'm thinking about it...
