Nika writes the following about Phoenix Rising :
I Absolutely loved this book! The chapter that I love the most is chapter Twenty-nine because in this chapter there are alot emotions. When Ezra goes to the hospital,it's sad because he was just getting better and Nyle had hopes that he wouldn't die. This is the part that I like the most and it was so ... emotional. "I remember the first time I'd read to Ezra. I felt so certain he would die in the back room, as Mama had, as Gramp had. Everything had changed since then, and yet nothing changed." (pg.178) That is the most hurtful words I had ever read. But it was an amazing book and I fell in love with it, even though I thought it was going to be boring. I love it! Shanique Moore
