Callie writes the following about "Beaches" :
"Beaches" Iris Rainer Dart 324 pages Novel; tragedy /excitement "Beaches" is a novel about two very different women and their ever lasting friend ship. The two of them met on a beach when they were very young. The two girls are friends for over 30 years; they go through so much with out each other but still write and call as much as they can. Cee Cee Bloom is a young actress who loves performing and singing. Bertie is a young girl who does not have very many friends until she meets Cee Cee. Cee Cee is not a very friendly person, and she has a very loud mouth. Bertie is more on the quiet side with a very caring heart. The main idea of the book is to show how two very different people can never see each other and still be best friend over many years.
