The Hatchet is a great book. A young boy named Brian Robeson is trapped in the north woods of Canada. He starts off with nothing but a hatchet and ends off with a spear for fish, a bow for animals, and a fire as well! What I really like about this book is that Gary Paulsen describes it very well. But there are some weaknesses. Still I very recommend this book. If you read it you will not regret it.
Brian Robeson crashes on a plane and needs all he knows for survival. If he makes one simple mistake, it could lead to death. What's so special about it you might say but comparing it with another fiction book, its probably going to be thumbs downward.i gave it a 8.5 because its very good, but with no pictures or sketches but its still very good. Like during the crash, he was very negative, but with lessons of life and survival he became positive. So positive that even a tornado couldn??t get him negative. I'm 1000% sure that you will like it.
