'The Giver' by Lois Lowry is a absolutly amazing book. It's about a supernatural utopian community, simply meaning everything is perfect, no war or conflict. A young boy, Jonas, is being assigned the job of becoming the Reciever of Memory. He soon learns how fake the community is and how worthless. In order to change the community he does a very tricky and clever plan to bring back memories of color, feelings, and the very truth of life. At the end it is up to the reader to assume weather Jonas makes it to 'elsewere' or dies of coma. Once again i would recomend this book to anyone, adult or child, its just a very stunning story the way that the aurthor Lois Lowry writes it.
