Jackie writes the following about Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry :

I thought that the book roll of thunder, hear my cry was a relly good read. The character were seemed so real. The book was a great way to look at the days in the 1930's. The logn family had to struggle but they made it through it. The work really hard to keep theyre small peice of land they own. I would highly recomend this book for grades 7 and up.
