Jackie writes the following about Number the Stars :

First, I would like to start this review by saying that this book is just PERFECT. Lois Lowry successfully illustrates the brutal situations during the period of WWII through the eyes of a 10-year-old girl. I was truly moved by the degree of friendship between the two girls. i would highly recomend this book.
