Cinderpelt writes the following about Warriors :
Into the wild is the first book in the warrior series, and in my opinon, by far the best. Erin Hunter begins the book fluenty, and captures the readers attention quickly. She is a writing genius. I would highly recommend the book, and the rest of the series, to any 3rd grade and up reader. Its an amazing series, and if it brings me in, its bound to bring others in, cause i'm a picky reader. It has to bring me in right away.

Summery of the first book: (also the back)

Fire alone can save our clan...

For generations, four clans of wild cats of lived in the forest. They follow the code layed down by their warrior ancesstors. But sinister ShadowClan is growing stronger every day and ThuderClan is in grave danger. Noble warriors are dying, and some deaths are more mysterious then others.
In the midst of all this turmoil, appears a ordenary housecat named Rusty... who may turn out to be the bravest warrior of all...

If you are still edgy about buying this book, heres some praise for it:

"Action-packed adventure. Certian to plase any reader who has ever wondered what dreams of grandeur may haunt the family cat"
-Publisher Weekly

"A suspenseful animal adventure that will leave readers eying Puss a bit nervously."
-Kirkus Reviews

and my own praise:

Erin Hunter did a wonderfull job on Into the Wild. It will fill in those blanks of Pussys dreams.
