Happy-K writes the following about Scorpions :
I think "Scorpions" is a great book. It's a story about a boy who lives in Harlem, N.Y. He must deal with his family problems and street life. He acts like he's strong and tough but deep inside, he is just small and weak. His brother who's in jail wants Jamal to be the leader of a gang called the Scorpions.Jamal recieves a gun from a fellow gang member and realizes that he gains respect by his enemies when he has the gun.My favorite part was when Jamal threatened to shoot at this school bully who keeps bothering him.If you like drama, then you should read this book. I recommend this book for kids ages 11 and up
