They Cage The Animals At Night was a very good book!!! It's probaly the best book I every read. It's about a young boy who lives with his mother and five brothers in a small apartment. One day his mother took him to an orphanage saying "I'll be right back"This is the first of many homes he ended up staying in because of his sick mother.He made many friends though that helped him through this tough time such as a bus driver named Sal and a friend at one of the homes named Micheal. But the one friend that stayed with himthe whole time was a shattered old stuffed animal that one of the home gave him.It is a very good book of a boy who was looking for love and found it looking for him.The point of view of the book was the boy in the book named Jennings Micheal Burch. Tis book is an auto biography.I think this makes it easier to understand the book because you can have a real feel for the book because the author explains it so well since he was the who expierenced it.i think the theme of the bok wqs getting to know people before you know them.It is very good because it makes you want to do better things.It was set in New York It really explained hoe it was there.I think is a very good book that everyone should read.
