pepper writes the following about the True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle :
Have you ever read a book that you just couldn't put down? Well, this is another book just like that. The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, is the most exciting book I've ever read.I liked the details because I felt like I was in the story. Charlotte is a strong feminine character because of her courage, determination, and since of justice that helps her live on a ship with a grungy crew, and a criminal captain. When she is put on a ship that was supposed to be occupied by two families that didn't show up, she is forced to deal with a crew that disapproves of the way she is treated by the captain, and a captain that dislikes the way she treats the crew. She soon learns why the Seahawk, the name of the ship, is the one ship no one wants to sail on. If you would like to learn why this was my favorite book, then go check out the book, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.
