Cheech writes the following about Skellig :

Skellig deserves not much more than a two rating at all. The only reason we gave this book a two is because we are currently reading a book that is worse, ?The Pearl?. As a 14 year-old reader, we could not relate to the main character Michael at all. As Michael?s dad would say, this book is ?bloody orable?. Written in an English style many phrases are not known to many American readers. There was also no main action sequence in this book. The author had too much time on his hands to write this book. I feel sorry for the trees that lost their lives in the making of this book. Overall, we really didn?t like this book, but we give Almond a two for effort. Cheech
