Following My Own Footsteps leaves off on Gordys, life. He leaves college hills to go live in North Carolina where there he meets his interesting grandma. The book tells the problems he faces as he heals a dark past and starts a suprising future. Following My Own Footsteps is an exciting sequal to Stepping On The Cracks. The whole time I was reading this book I could tell how it connected to Stepping On The Cracks. It has a lot of suspense in it. It really demonstrates how people dealt with World War Two, and how they dealt with their family members dying in the war. Following My Own Footsteps is historical fiction. I would recommend that you read this book because it helps you understand what happend next in Gordys life. It also is a phenomenal book!! If you like suspense, war, and if you liked Stepping in the Cracks, than you would enjoy this book.
