This book is about a Christian women who is from England. She journey's to China on a mission to help Christian Chinese people to become closer to Christ and to bring people to Christ. She is a wonderfull woman, and a very religious person. She has helped so many people in this book, that i can't even type them all. A long time after she had come to China, she began to take in children from the street that had no home or family to stay with, after a while of doing that she had realised that she had taken in over one hundred children. Later she had sent half the children to a Christian orphanage where they were taken good care of and were built up in their faith. After that she found out that she was needed in England and she went back for a few years. When she had gone back to China, her eldest children had had children and were married. In the end, she was invited to go to the United States, to help the churches and the Christians. In my opinion, this book was very inspiring and very descriptive. Gladys Aylward might have been a little women, but she was the strongest Christian i have ever heard about. And i hope that one day all the Christians, every where, will be as strong in their faith as Gladys Aylward.
