Geneva writes the following about Caddie Woodlawn :
This book is a historical fiction book. The author is Carol Ryrie Brink. Two themes from the book are hope and protection. Hope because they hope that their dog Nero is going to come back and protection because they protect their brothers and sisters. It all starts with a girl named Caddie Woodlawn. She was playing in a stream with her brothers. They had many adventures together but I am only going to explain a few. One example is that she put an egg down her cousins dress while her cousin was summersaulting. Another example is that she fought with the strongest boy in the school and won. In the end Nero came back and John the indian also came back. I gave the rating a 10 because it was a great book. I also like all the adventures she had. And I also liked that they made her a tomboy throughout the book. The two things I learned from this book are being content and patient. They are content with their house and patient until their dog came back.
