gina cicone writes the following about A Year Down Yonder [UNABRIDGED] :
"A Year Down Younder " is about a fifteen year old girl named Mary Alice who must spent a whole year with her large "trigger-happy" grandmoter.In the little Illinois town Mary Alice has some hilarious adventures with her grandma:catching foxes in bitter cold winter nights, making pumpkin and pecan pies,a christmas program or have some excitng trouble with a painter and a snake.In the end Mary Alice who first wanted nothing but to go home, wished to stay with her grandmother who had also changed.
The last chapter tells that she was married in her grandmother's dispite the inconvinience and lives "happily ever after".
