emi ouellette writes the following about Indian Captive :
When Molly Jemison was twelve her hole life changed. On day while Molly was inside with her family on their farm, in eastern Pennsylvania, 1758, a swarm of Indians invaded their home they wrecked the house and took the Jemison and the Wheelock family's, which were living together. Molly and her family were all separated. The Indians and Molly travelled to southern Ohio and later to Seneca village on the Genesee River which is now western New York. Molly's new life was not easy because she was terribly home-sick and was not known to the Seneca ways. she tried many times to run away but she never succeeded. But , when the Indians got use to her, they became nice and taught her about the earth, and everything on it , and how to appreciate it. She later became a sister to the creatures and plants. then one day Molly was given a chance to chose, she could go back to her home land or she could stat with the Indians. But it was hard to decide for Molly because she had became a sister to the Indians and she did still miss her home but then she would miss the Indians to. Later she chooses the Indians as her family forever more. And her Indian name was corn tastle but in the end she is renamed Little Woman of Great Courage This story was based off of the real story of Mary Jemison. this book was a really great book , it was filled with suspense and courage and willingness and love. If i could read this book again i would because of its well written and well illustrated quality. To me this is a five star book and will always be my favorite.
