aubrie writes the following about Brian's Hunt :
I think that this was a great book. The author Gary Paulsen did a wonderful job at making the characters seem real.It made me feel like I was in the book. The main character Brian, has a challenge of surviving alone in the north woods. He prefers being on his own in the natural world to living in civilization.Brian is camping on a lake in the woods when suddenly;after a while he finds an injured dog that is whimpering. He cares for her, loves her, and he worries if anything will happen to her.Brian's first instinct tells him to head north, but quick. With his companion at his side he goes out on a hunt. As I had said before this is a great book, and an riveting story that brilliantly combines two of his great themes: the human animal's place in nature, and the mysterious and wonderful bond between people and dogs.Take my advice and read this book it's awesome!
