Gretchen Pabst writes the following about Lucy and the Red-Tailed Hawk :

This is a wonderfully written book! It is for children under the age of 7. It is about a young girl who spies a Red-Tailed Hawk stuck up in a tree. She tells her daddy and he calls the animal control. They come and pick it up and takes it to the animal shelter. This book is great for beginner readers, and is sure to spark your imagination!
