Sammy writes the following about The Invention of Hugo Cabret :

This book is about a boy named Hugo who works and lives with his uncle in a train station. They operate clocks all around. When Hugo's uncle dies it is up to him to operate the clocks. Beside the clocks Hugo loves to work on his automaton. His father died in a fire and all they recovered was the automaton. Hugo's dad left a message for that automaton to write and Hugo tries to reveal the secret that has been haunting him for years. Along the way he meets a girl Isabell who's grandfather is a toy seller and contains parts Hugo needs to finish building the automaton. Is the grandfather connected? Will Hugo complete the automaton?
