Brother in arms is a book about a teenage boy named Martin Luna whose brother Huero had been killed in a drive by shooting accident. It was on a afternoon when Frankie, Martin, and Chago where outside of Frankie’s house sitting back and talking, when huero comes in and tries to talk to them but then martin tells huero to leave so he does. A couple of minutes later they hear a pop noise coming behind huero and they look behind him and see a white sedan car doing a dive by shooting. Frankie and Chago swore to martin after that terrible experience that they were going to find the killer. Meanwhile Martin moves to a new school and new home. At Martins new school he starts to get into trouble and gets into a fight with a kid named Steve. Martin gets to know a girl named Vicky and starts to talk to her and become good friends and meets a teacher that tries to help him out with his problems. Now martin has two choices, too go and waste his life killing the person responsible for killing huero or back of and listen to what his teacher and mom are telling him.
