luxy writes the following about the starplace :

The historical fiction book I read for my book report was THE STAR PLACE by VICKI GROVE it is based on rascim.THE story takes place in QUIVER,OKLAHOMA in the 1960's.the main characters in this story is Frannie and Celeste.Frannie is white and Celeste is black and both are nice people.The main problem is frannie's all white school ignores celeste even frannie and all celeste want's to do is make friends. In the beginning of the story,Frannie is planning a party on the patio. Nancy and margot fight over what the theme is going to be.Frannie heres a beep and jumps in the car and see's a negro named celeste in the front seat.Frannie begins to act diffrent infront of a negro.They arrive at mom's job and when the get out the car nancy says why were you acting diffrent in front of a negro.Frannie begins to frown when they walk inside frannie is thinking of inviting the boys to the party or not.because some of the boys are weird.
