choppers writes the following about Aquamarine :
Have you ever wondered if mermaids are real? Have you ever seen something and didn’t believe it? This book is about two best friends, Hailey and Claire. And one night after a bad storm they found a mermaid swimming in the pool of their beach club.
When Hailey and Claire first see Aquamarine, the mermaid, they were scared but later that changed. The next day when Claire and Hailey noticed Aquamarine had a human body, too, Aquamarine tells them that she could only stay like that if her feet don’t get wet.
After talking with Aquamarine, Hailey and Claire realized why she was here; to find true love she will give them one wish if they help her find love. Hailey and Claire knew exactly what they were going to wish for; Hailey is moving away because of her mom’s job, and they are sad that they won’t be together anymore.
Aquamarine, Claire, and Hailey run into obstacles along the way, but in the end their unselfishness makes for a great ending.
This book is very suspenseful and displays the power of friendship. The author makes this book magical and it keeps you wanting to read more to see what is going to happen next. It reminded me of the Cinderella books that I read.
This book will definitely keep you interested; each page continues a great story. I hope that everyone can experience that kind of friendship in his or her lifetime.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes magical books, and fantasy books.
