Y., Andrew 1 writes the following about Who gives a hoot? :
Hoot is an excellent example of a wonderful book. It is about a boy, named Roy, who moves from Montana to Coconut Cove, Florida. At first he has trouble fitting in, but then he meets some very interesting people who he becomes great friends with. Roy discovers that a Mother Paula's All- American Pancake House is being built on the habitat of some helpless burrowing owls. He and his friends attempt to save the owls and will not stop until they have success.
Not only is Hoot a great book, but it has many valuable lessons and themes. You can learn a lot by reading this novel. The main theme is being environmentally friendly. Mullet Fingers, a friend of Roy's, teaches you the importance of going green as you read. There many more lessons in Hoot. In order to find out what happens in Hoot, and learn some more of these valuable life lessons, you'll have to read it!
