NateDawg writes the following about Perloo the Bold :

Perloo is sent to see Jolaine, the Montmer granter, by Lucabara, the granter's first assistant. Jolaine dies after she names Perloo the new granter, but Berwig, her evil son, takes grantership and banishes Perloo from the Central Tribe Burrow. Perloo runs away with Lucabara and they fall into the Felbarts den. The Felbarts are the Montmer's enemies but Perloo makes peace and promises to help make piece between the tribes for Felbart packmaster, Weyanto. Berwig, now in control of the Montmers, marches his army against the Felbarts to gain popularity.
