Sneha writes the following about Anne of Ingleside :
Its a really nice story and its one of my favourites. In fact, all the Anne books are my favourite. I like Anne of Green Gables the best though.
In this book we see Anne as a middle-aged woman with a family of six children and Gilbert. A long visit from Gilbert's unpleasant Aunt makes them all tired but at last her visit comes to an end. The children get into different kinds of mischief and at the end of the book Anne begins to worry that Gilbert doesn't love her any more. She is again reassured by Gilbert who gives her a diamond pendant on their anniversary and promises a trip to Europe.
The only thing which I don't like about this book is that Anne totally becomes aloof from world of Avonlea except for occasional visits and that also she is becoming old. I preferred the young Anne of Green Gables, playing with her bosom friend Diana and living with Marilla. But Anne can't never really get old and she must have a proper family of her own.
