Phoebe writes the following about The Sloppy Copy Slip Up :
Have you ever forgotten your homework? Or worse, didn’t do it? Well that’s the situation Brain Higman finds himself in. Well I bet you want to meet some of the main characters. First we have Harry. Harry loves Brain’s family, but Brain doesn’t love Harry. Stevie loves annoying Brain because he is the little brother. Now how about the age recommendation? I would suggest this book for kids in second grade and up because there are difficult words. I would give this book five out of five stars because, the story was so funny. For example Stevie never gets in trouble for the bad stuff he does. When Brain does nothing wrong he gets in trouble. Here are some other books written by Dyanne Disalvo A Dog Like Jack, and Spaghetti Park. Here’s a summary of the amazing story. In the beginning, Brain didn’t do his homework, and says he did it. In the middle, Brain stays in for recess, but before recess, the Principal wants him. In the end, all the people find out the truth. Will Brain get a zero or a one-hundred? Will he get in trouble by the principal? Read the book to find out. Do you want to find out my favorite quote from the text? “Alert, Alert red zero closing in on all sides. Run for your life if you can!” This is what I think the lesson is: DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! Well how about that funny story? Good you’re on your way to the library to check out the book I told you about, The Sloppy Copy Slip Up. Reviewed by: Phoebe age 9
