Olivia writes the following about Trouble with Violet :
Do you believe in magic? Well you will, when you read The Trouble with Violet, by Anne Mazer. First, let me introduce you to the characters! Mabel is a calm, organized girl. Violet is a messy and active little girl. Now let me tell you the summary. Mabel and Violet get a book from their Uncle Varian. Mabel and Violet never met him in person. Mabel won’t share the book with Violet. The book is magical. As the book begins to fly around the room, Mabel tells Violet, “What did I tell you about taking care of books?” Then, when they get shoes at a store, Mabel looks in the mirror and her reflection was vanishing! Other weird things are happening. Mabel thinks she has magic, but she doesn’t. Who does? I recommend this book for ages 8 and up because there are some tricky words. Lastly, my opinion- I loved this book because it is full of magic and suspense! By Olivia, age 9
