Nicholas H. writes the following about Moonlight on the Magic Flute :
Moonlight on the Magic Flute By Mary Pope Osborne Reviewed By Nicholas J. Heller La, La, La! Hi! That was just Jack and Annie’s song called “The Magic Flute”! If you want to go to Vienna, Austria let’s take the magic tree house and set off to Vienna! Let me introduce you to the main characters: Annie, a great singer, Jack a great flute player, Wolfie a great piano player, Nan the sister of Wolfie, and Pa the dad of both Nan and Wolfie who give them a round of applause! Now let’s get to the book! Jack and Annie arrived at the town Vienna, Austria. When they arrived at the palace, they a meet a boy with an older girl. Jack and Annie found out that the kids were named Wolfie and Nan. Wolfie wants Jack and Annie to play in the garden with him. But Jack and Annie are on a mission to find happiness for the world. Wolfie doesn’t quite understand that Jack and Annie are too busy to play. So he runs away. Will Wolfie return? Will Jack and Annie find happiness? You’ll have to read the book to find out. Mary Pope Osborne’s technique is in the beginning of the book she always says, “The wind started to blow. The tree house started to spin. It spun faster and faster till everything was still. Absolutely still.” I recommend this book for ages 7 and up because it is a chapter book. I think that I would give it 5 out of 5 stars because the author captures you in the book so you want to read it on and on and on! Mary Pope Osborne wrote 41 chapter books, plus a lot more books and series for all ages and grades. The author’s message is to teach you to keep a promise or you’ll have no friends and people will run or will be really sad. Oops! I said too much. Read the book to see what will happen to Wolfie.
