Abra Cadabra! Magic like that doesn’t work. Magic found in The Magic Tree House is real magic! Let me tell you about the newest Magic Tree House book, #41, Moonlight on the Magic Flute by Mary Pope Osborne
In this book, Jack, Annie, Wolfie, Nan and Papa all meet and become friends. Jack loves books and reads all day. Annie is an animal lover and no animal is in trouble in her sight. Wolfie loves music and can play music a 20-year-old can play on the piano when he’s only six!
I’m throwing our map away because I know where the setting is. The setting is Her Imperial Majesty’s yard, palace and the zoo.
The book starts out when the Magic Tree House brings Jack and Annie to Austria where they meet her Imperial Majesty, and Jack does a clown bow. But then Wolfie gets mad and lets all the animals in the zoo out! Will Jack, Annie and Wolfie live? Or will they be invited to be dinner? To find out, get reading. Here’s one of my favorite lines of the book, “Jack pretended to bonk her on the head with his flute”
The illustrations are amazing even though they are black and white. There always is a part of the book where the picture covers the whole page and no words.
If you liked Moonlight on the Magic Flute read all 40 other Magic Tree House books and keep an eye out for Magic Tree House # 42 Goodnight for Ghosts.
This book is great for ages 8-13. It’s just little hard to read the facts. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars, Mary Pope Osborne captures you the whole book through. Ages 5 to 7 should read it with their mom or dad. It’s a really good book so read it NOW!
P.S. Don’t ever make a bow like Jack to a queen!
