Matilda by Roald Dahl is an awesome book . In this book Matilda is a young girl of five and a half years who is neglected by her trashy family . She then begins to find company in books which she teaches herself to read . After a lot of persuading on Matilda's part her parent's agree to send her to school where she find's a companion in her classteacher - Miss Honey , who later goes on to adopt Matilda . Due to constant unreasonable scoldings from her parents and principal - Miss Trunchbell , Matilda realises that she has the special power of telekineses which enables her to lift and move things using her mind power . She is a super genius who can do the most difficult sums in her mind which even her teacher has to do on paper . This book is compulsory reading for anyone who has a sense of humor !
