Tyler writes the following about How to Train Your Dragon :
Have you ever wanted a dragon? Well you better read How to Train your Dragon by Cresida Cowell. First let me introduce the main characters: Hiccup the son of the chief and Toothless, Hiccup’s teeny tiny pet dragon. First Hiccup and the tribe had to steal a baby dragon from a cave filled with sleepy dragons. Second Hiccup had to pass the initiation test, but failed because Toothless started a fight. He was sent into exile. His friend calls him, “Hiccup the useful and his dragon Toothful!” Finally when Hiccup was on the beach, he got dropped into Green Death’s (the humongeous mountain of a dragon) mouth! Does he get out alive? Read the book! The author rips the pages like it’s old. I say this book is good for ages 8 and up. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because if you get stuck on a word and you keep reading you’ll say, “Oh yeah. That’s it.” There is a whole series How to Speak Dragonese and How to Be a Pirate all written by Cowell. I think the author’s message is teaching you not to call someone a name if they’re bad at something because you might be bad at something and they’ll call you names someday too. So go out and get this book at your library today. Tyler Steinberg, age 9
