Bridget writes the following about The Trouble With Violet :
The Trouble with Violet Reviewed by Bridget, age 8 Do you have an annoying little sister? If you do – welcome to Mabel’s world! To enter, read The Trouble with Violet by Anne Mazer. Mabel is a neat and tidy eight-year-old girl ; her sister, Violet, is the complete opposite. Violet is a messier than messier 5-year-old girl. In the beginning of The Trouble with Violet, at the girls’ house, Violet and Mabel receive a package. In the package is a fairy tale book. After they start reading the book, strange things start happening to Violet. There’s a secret in the family. A freaky thing is when Violet says, “Your wallet is someplace very, very cold. I see ice cubes.” You’ll have to read The Trouble With Violet to solve the mystery. I like Bill Brown’s illustrations because the pictures are extremely unique. I would recommend this book for 1st to 3rd graders or anyone who believes in magic. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it leaves you in suspense a lot. This book is in the series Sister Magic. It’s all about magic. Anne Mazer’s lesson is to expect the unexpected. I hope you found this review helpful!
