Adena writes the following about Thank You Mr.Faulker :
Have you ever thought that you couldn’t do something? If you have you should read this book, Thank You Mr. Faulker. Trisha, a girl who thought she couldn’t read was getting teased by Eric, a bully. Then the story gets even worse. Trisha’s grandma who is the only one who truly believes in her dies. Here’s a really sad line from the book, “But it was not long after that night that her grandma must have let go because she was not there the next morning.” Let’s get our minds out of sadness; shall we? Then Trisha goes to fifth grade and meets Mr. Faulker, a teacher who cares about Trisha and believes that she can read. Oops! I said too much. Patricia Polacco is an author and an illustrator! Her pictures are wonderful. Without water colors her pictures wouldn’t be realistic . Her writing is amazing too. If this was a chapter book I could visualize the pictures. I recommend this book for everyone because it is a picture book. Other books that Patricia Palocco wrote Mrs. Mack and Thunder Cake. This book rating is 5-5 stars. It has sad parts and happy parts. It is such a phenomenal story. Since it is such a phonomenal story, why don’t you read it now? Go to your library and read it now! Reviewed By Adena Assawakulpaibool, age 9
