This book by Mike Lupica was very detailed. I enjoyed reading it because it greatly described each basketball game/scene. The book grabbed my attention and it had me interested in it but after a while, I lost my interest in it. I'm not the biggest fan of sports books and I'm not the biggest fan of basketball so reading this book wasn't too enjoyable for me. But for the most part, Lupica did a good job giving great detail and it allowed the reader to picture themselves in the book. I suggest this book should focus a little more on everyday life problems instead of just basketball. It should also include more of the other characters thoughts and feelings; not just Danny's. Overall, I think Summer Ball was an okay book and I recommend all basketball and sport lovers to read it.
