Mattew, the son of his crazy mother nikki, tells the stories of how terrfying his mother was during his childhood and his sisters childhoods also. Matt had two sisters, Callie, and Emmy. Emmy being the youngest, was told in letters how life was. Their mother was outragous. She would go out at night, leave the kids in the basement, and then come home high or drunk and put her kids life in danger. She would also come home with a different man every night. Until one day when matt and the others were out getting something from the store, they saw a abusive dad yelling at his son. A man in line behing him comfronted him. The mans name was Murdoch. Matthew fell in love with him. He only need that man in his life to change his mother. However things between Murdoch and Nikki did not last, he could not take her behavior. Once things were done with him, her behavior got worse. Matt had no chose but to leave. It was the only way to protect him and his sisters. They had a rought life. I could only imagine how life would be with a crazy mother who beat and didnt take care of her kids. It is a sad book but it keeps you reading.
