Carson writes the following about Ella Enchanted :
ELLA ENCHANTED is a fictional story about a girl with a 'gift'. The 'gift' is obedience, and is really a curse given to her by a fairy. In this enchanting tale, Ella struggles with her curse, and wishes one day she will be free to do what she pleases. I recommend this book to anyone who likes fairy tales, curses, and a girl with determination.
