nala writes the following about Under The Blood-Red Sun :
Under the Blood-Red Sun takes us all back to the time of World War 2 in the eyes of a Japanese-American boy named Tomikazu living in Honolulu. His life is going good until the first bomb hits at Pearl Harbor and everything goes wrong. His dad gets arrested for suspicion of helping the Japanese Army, he has to hide all of his family's precious Japanese artifacts, including his grandmother's shrine, and his dad's fishing boat get shot at and sunken. For the rest of the story you will just have to read it yourself to really see how this 7th grade boy keeps his family together during this hard time in his life. This book really deserves a 10 out of 10.
