Life is mystical for Darren Shan. This book is about Darren going to a Circus of Freaks. These types of circuses are illegal, but he decides to go anyway with his friend Steve. In the show freaks of nature come out and perform stunts that have never been seen before. It ranges for people that have 2 bellies to people who can bite through steel. They perform in deserted places and in this case, a run down theater. Darren sees something that he can’t resist- it’s a huge spider not known to man. In fact Darren wants it so much that he goes back for it later. The owner of the spider is a vampire. His name is Mr. crepsly. Darren shows it to Steve but Steve gets bitten and has to go to the hospital. To get a cure from Mr. Crepsly Darren has to become a vampire’s assistant.
I loved this book. I liked it because it was about vampires, which I love. I also love gross out horror kind of books
I would recommend it to any one who loves mystery and horror books. I would rate this book a ten. I gave it this rating because it has A LOT of twists and turns that will leave you breath taken and hungry for more. You will love this book, but don’t take my word for it, read the book your self.
