Michyla Johnson writes the following about missippi bridge :
This book is on a rainy day and 5 kids go get milk for there mom and while they do that a girl and her 2 friends wait for her grandma on the porch and it's very stormy out there. When the Jackson bus is on the side by of the bridge and several cocasion people are trying to get on the bus and they make a few african americans get off the bus including Sarah's grandma a man was arguing with the bus griver and told him he payed and it was n't right. So, the bus driver picks the man up by the arm of his shirt and reall truly kicks him in the back off the bus. They knew it wasn't right. So, as the man get kicks off the bus the boy David goes and helps him up.As the bus drives off on the stormy raing drizzling road the bus driver couldn't see much so he rides over the bridge.Bout'everyone is........DEAD!!!David's dad blames it on him but it wasn't true. When David tried to tell them to go ask the 3 kids he didn't want to.Instead he told them to go ring the bell. When he went he rung the bell til' he couln't ring it anymore so people would come down. But,most of all those 10 kids remember that day. Please read this book this is just like making a connection on slavery but,you might be seeing a negative word just move on.Enjoy your book on THE WELL By Mildred D.
