Roma writes the following about Crispin Review :

Crispin The Cross of Lead by Avi is a book about a boy whose mother dies, leaving him alone n the world. There are many questions this boy would like to have answered like Who was my father? What is my name? What am I going to do now without my mother? The next day,Asta's son (as he is called) is declared a wolf's head, meaning anyone who sees him should kill him immediately. He runs to his only support, Father Quinel who tells him that his name is Crispin and that he should run away immediately. With only a cross of lead given to him by his mother, he runs away. Soon, he is found by a man who says he is Cripins new master. He teaches Crispin how to have fun and smile. At the end, all of Crispin's questions are answered and he becomes free!
