luvkathrynxoxalek writes the following about Stargirl :
After moving, Leo Borlock moves to Arizona and attends school. The story takes place at mica high school where nothing exciting ever happens. But after the summer ends one year, and school starts again, a new girl named Stargirl Caraway arrives. She is an unusual girl who knows everyones birthdays and sings, dances, and plays the ukulele in the cafeteria. She has a pet rat whom she brings to school in a sunflower bag everyday. she wears the most unusual clothing, but she has one secret. actually two. one, she thinks leo borlock is adorable and two, she changed her name every time she switched shools. Kevin, leo's best friend, invites stargirl on the school show, wich he directed. leo likes stargirl too, but at the school dance, stargirl runs away and is never seen again, but on leo's birthday, he recieves a second tie from stargirl that had porqupines on it just like the previous year because he had a collection. leo did not know the year before that the tie was from her however. leo asks archie, his older freiend if he thinks stargirl is real. he answers "just as real as barney, the scull of a 60 million year old rodent." in book two, love stargirl, stargirl writes leo a long note. i recommned both books.
