remixluver writes the following about Bungalow Mystery (Nancy Drew, No. 3) :
This book, Nancy and her friend are having trouble on the water when they are rescued by a girl This girl was named Laura. After they came to shore they saw a nearby old bungalow and decided to visit the house and saw blankets a stove some food and decided to stay there until they dry up .. Laura has been orphaned, and will have new guardians, which were named Abron. The new guardians were behaving very strangely .Nancy believes her friend's guardians are trying to steal her inheritance. Aborn is evil, and life is intolerable. Laura decided to live with Nancy Drew’s residence. One day Nancy drives out to the lake, and sneaks into the house, where she sees Aborn removing money , inhertiance, papers . She trails him to an abandoned bungalow in the woods and inside finds a man who looks just like Aborn chained up in the basement. He says that he is the real Aborn and the criminal Stumpy Dowd, a look-alike, has taken Aborn's place to defraud Laura.


At the same time, Nancy’s father, a police officer, is working on case involving a bank and bank securities. Nancy ends up helping to solve his case along the way to solving her own and helping her new friend.Nancy calls authorities and her father, who quickly arrive to help investigate. Dowd is pursued, and crashes his auto. Nancy investigates the burning car in time to remove suitcases containing Laura's stocks and bonds
