Kadijah writes the following about Froty Acres andMaybe A Mule :
I THINK THAT FORTY ACRES AND MAYBE A MULE WAS AN FANTASTIC BOOK, BECAUSE IT TEACHCS YOU THAT WHEN THE CONSTUION SAID THAT SLAVERY HAD CAME TO AN END, PEOPLE STILL THOUGHT THEY HAD THE RIGHT TO USE OTHER PEOPLE AS SLAVES, AND HOW SOME SLAVES TRIED TO ESCAPE, BUT SOME GOT CAUGHT AND KILLED AND OTHERS BECAME AS GOOD AS NEW LIKE PASCAL, NELLY, AND GIDEON AND GOT FORTY ACRES
