lewis blair writes the following about The Magician's Nephew (Lewis, C. S. Chronicles of Narnia (New York, N.Y.), V. 2.) :
"The Magician's Nephew" written by C. S. Lewis is a magical tale in which two children named Digory and Polly become friends and whilst exploring stumble upon Digory's mean uncle Andrew. He tricks them in order to find out about a new world he has discovered.

I enjoyed the book and thought the plot was very exciting and gripping.

Although I enjoyed reading "The Magician's Nephew" there are a few things which I did not like. I thought CS Lewis went too far into things as he would go on and on about something and stray away from the main plot. I also did not like the way CS Lewis would talk to the reader throughout the book.

I would recommend this book to a person who is over 12 years of age as there is a lot of old and sophisticated language that might be too hard for younger readers to understand. This book is a good read if you enjoy fantasy, adventure tales.
