Chloe Wright writes the following about The Magician's Nephew (The Chronicles of Narnia, Book 1) :
The Magician's Nephew is a magical adventure fantasy story.
In this book there are five main characters, they are; Polly and Digory the child hero's, The Witch and Uncle Andrew. Aslan is the other main character.
In this story there are two children called Polly and Digory. Digory's uncle, Uncle Andrew, has made rings. Polly and Digory touch one each and get zapped into another world where they meet an unexpected visitor who turns out to be bad. Then there is a new world born.
This book is for 10+ years old. I enjoyed it a lot and would probably read it again in the near future.
The good points are that it gets your imagination going.
A bad point is that some of the sentences were hard to understand.
My rating would be 8/10 for the story because I enjoyed the story but i didn't understand some of the things that were written. My rating would be 6/10 for the illustrations because they were black and white and it would be better if they were colour.
