Daria Prihradska writes the following about The Magician's Nephew (The Chronicles of Narnia, Book 1) :
The Magician's Nephew is about Digory and Polly having a great adventure. Old Uncle Andrew gives Polly and Digory magic rings. They travel to a different world and meet an Evil Witch. The Witch comes with them to London and causes a lot of trouble.
Digory and Polly go on a quest to keep Narnia safe from Evil. Aslan, the great king, chooses a queen and a king to rule Narnia.
The Magician's Nephew is an adventures fantasy book. I like it because it is my favourite genre. C.S Lewis left cliff-hangers after every chapter. I also think that the story is interesting.
All these reasons are why I give this book a rating of 8. I don't give it a 10 because there were some parts I didn't understand. I have read some books that are more interesting.
The illustrations are very good. They are detailed and well drawn. They helped me to understand the story more. They are great illustrations so I give them a rating of 8.6.
I think that The Magician's Nephew is a great book, if you like adventurous books, and I really enjoyed it.
