Georgia writes the following about Hating Alison Ashley :
Erica Yurken lives in a place they can only afford. She goes to a school called Barringa East also known as a ' disadvantaged school'.
Where she lives is a place that has graffiti all over old buildings, street posts half bent, and old, rusty houses that have never had care given to them. At school, she is quite a bright student and seems to impress the teachers, beacuse at Barringa East, the school looks just as bad as the neighbourhoods. Other schools are richer, cleaner schools filled with bright, clean students who look up to their teachers because they want to work and get a good future ahead of them. They always appear in the local papers, though Erica's school only appears in the papers if another building gets burnt down in their school or little things like that. Just down the street from the wretched homes, there lies another neighbourhood, likely to be known as a clean environment. Gigantic, clean houses, with beautiful front doors and a beautiful garden. The neighbourhood was called ' Hedge End Road ', and that is where 'Alison Ashley lives. Number 23 , Hedge End Road. She turns up at the empty school, looking completely odd from the rest of the kids at Braainga East Primary. She wore beautiful silk materialed clothing and dresses, her hair was a shiny long blonde style and of course her hair always smelled like fresh conditioner. She was smart, pretty, talanted, ( a teachers pet), helpful, amazing, etc. She had and was everything that Erica had ever wanted. She was glamourous, smart, and Erica was all of a sudden, unnoticeable and boring. She felt so jealous that the teachers adored Alison Ashley and every single thing about her. She started thinking about her family compared to Alison's and wanted to be friends with her though she absolutely hated her. Erica always wanted to embarras Alison but in someway she only embarrased herself. This book relates to jealousy, hatred, friendships and advantages. If you read this book, the full idea of Erica Yurken and her jealousy of hatred to Alison Ashley will be clear to you. If you read this book... Enjoy!!!
