Hannah writes the following about Letters from Rifka :
This book was amazing, wonderful, fabulous! The words and details were extrodinare. There was no illustrations so thats why I had to rate it a 0. I can't believe this book. It was like I was stepping into an adventorous world. it felt like a real girl! The charector in this book probably wasn't real but the event did happen. It took place in Russia and no one liked the Jewish people. (Don't worry this happened a long time ago.) That's why Rifika and her family had to run away to America. Rifika rid a boxcar to a small city. They had to get on a bus. There, she met a lady with bald spots on her head. She was itching her head to. Finally, they came to the place where people checked them out to see if they had ring worm or other dieses. If they had a diese they could not board the boat. Turns out, Rifika has ring worm. It came from the lady on the bus. Her family has to leave her in Russia. A lady takes her in and helps her to get ride of the ring worm and....you have to read the book! :)
